Lately I have been.....
...catching up from a week away in Vegas and working on wholesale orders.
...recovering from a bad cold. I spent almost the whole weekend in bed or under a blanket on the couch and it was pretty amazing. I haven't done that in about a million years.
...watching SO much tv. Do you guys watch The Bachelor? Even though I think Sean is the Douche of the Century and I know what happens because I read all the spoilers on Reality Steve, I still watch. I have such a weakness for bad reality tv.
Other shows I am watching - The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills {is this the longest season in the history of housewives, or is it just me?}, Ripper Street {new-ish BBC show about a detective in late 19th century England....it's like an old-fashioned Law & Order and I love it}, Modern Family {is this not the.best.show on television, or what?}, and so many more....
...disappointed in the Oscars. I love Seth MacFarlane and think he is hilarious and did as good as one can do as the Oscars host, but the show goes on way too long. And it was so predictable. The best part was Jennifer Lawrence. I really want to be her. Or at least her best friend.
...totally failing in all my February goals. I was doing so well until Vegas...where I basically gave up water {I don't like to leave my booth for bathroom breaks} and exercise {I am lazy}. Surviving POOL was my third goal and I did that and learned a lot, so there's one silver lining.
...worrying about Gordita. I found two more lumps on her and she has become the biggest slow poke on her walks. Yesterday I was pulling her saying "keep up! keep up!" and when I turned around, she was vomiting. I don't think she can handle fast walks anymore, or even walks at a normal pace, and it makes my heart so heavy. And the lumps, jesus christ, that's just scary. We had one removed last November and it was nothing bad, so I am hoping these two are also nothing.
...excited for my sister and her kids and husband to visit. They arrive late tonight and we are going to DisneyLand tomorrow. I have never been and I hear it's the happiest place on earth, which sounds really promising :).
What have you guys been up to lately?

Hi there! I'm a new GFC follower, hopping over from Bubby and Bean, because your guest post was absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteI loved Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars. She's awesome.
Sorry to hear about Gordita...How old is she?
Well, I'm glad to be a new follower and can't wait to read more of your posts.

Hi Kim - thanks so much for stopping by and joining as my newest follower. So happy to have you! Gordita is almost 10. Older but not too old....yet :).
Deletea few things...
ReplyDelete1) why do you think sean is a douche? haha just curious. the bachelor is my one and only reality tv show love...
2) gordita. so what i have heard from my MiL, who was a vet tech for awhile, is that "lumps" in older dogs are TOTALLY normal. And getting slow, that's normal too. But, having a younger dog around, Finn, should be keeping her younger. But I know that having a dog age is really rough. My parents dog (who I LOVE LOVE LOVE) is turning 11 soon and I don't know that I can handle her getting old.
3. disneyland! my advice to enjoy it is to just look beyond the cheesiness and sappiness and just watch the kids soak it all up. have fun :)
good to know about older dogs. the lumps were freaking me out....now I will just stop worrying about them :). but, I will stop trying to make her walk as much as Finn, it isn't fair to her.
DeleteAnd Sean the bachelor? I don't know, he just drives me nuts....def not my favorite bachelor but I think I kind of always dislike them!
