I really love this month. It goes back to when I was a child. My mom would always buy us Valentine's Day candy {she rarely bought us candy} and a little gift. Our goodies would be sitting at our spot at the table Valentine's Day morning. It was just a random little gift in the middle of a long Wisconsin winter when no holidays or gift giving times were coming for a while and I always looked forward to it.
I know Valentine's Day is a bit cheesy but I love it. The hearts and the candy and the mushy cards and the red and pink...none of this sugary sweetness really gels with my personality but I cannot get enough of it :).
1. Gold painted heart planter diy - so cute.
2. Heart cookies from Busken Bakery in Cincinnati. If you ever go to Cincinnati, get a cookie at Busken...they are the best.
3. Glittery Heart Patches diy - love it.
4. Gold heart stickers from we love citrus - I think these would be perfect all year long.
5. I love this Victorian Valentine {by Vintage Mermaid on Etsy}. Victorian Valentine's are the cutest.
6. Julie Ann Art has such sweet and funny cards. I bought this one. It's my favorite.
7. This simple wood heart diy is perfect.
8. Another handmade card seller that I love is Rowhouse 14. This heart one is totally my style.
9. These XO earrings from Epheriell are just too cute.
Speaking of hearts - all the heart studs in the {Acute} Etsy shop are 20% off until Valentine's Day! The price is already marked - no need for a coupon code. If you order a pair by next Friday, you will have them by the 14th :).

cute! to be honest i usually hate februrary but maybe this month will be good :)
ReplyDeleteI'll take these all please.
ReplyDeleteThank you for including my card! <3 Those stickers are fun and I like that wooden heart as well. Valentines season is one of my favorites too. My mom used to do the same thing for my sister and I which I always thought was so sweet. She still did it when I was in college and would send me a big box full of Valentine's treats plus a few fun things. It was always the perfect pick me up in the middle of winter.

It's the same with me - I love the holiday, but I'm not a fan of all the neon pinks and sugary reds. That being said, what else is there to look forward to in February? Which is why I find myself putting up decorations today for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from the hop, and I'm so excited to be your newest fan and follower! Let's be blog friends?

I get really excited about Valentines, just because I like all the red, pink and hearts. Everytime I actually try and organise something with my boyfriend it does wrong though xo
