The places we've been.

Maybe it's just me, but decorating is such a slow process.  I have lots plans but rarely have the energy, time, or money to get them all done.  I am trying to get better at collecting items that can be moved from house to house and items that I will love for years ~ rather than just buying something to fill up a space.

One of my on going plans is a map wall.  I have been collecting maps and city prints of everywhere we have ever lived {together or apart}.

So far I own a print of an antique map of Ireland {where my husband is from}.  If you look at a current map of Ireland, the country is shaped like a teddy bear.  Hundreds of years ago the country used to be mapped lengthwise so it looks like the teddy bear is laying on his back :).

I also bought a vintage map of Indiana {where I was born} a few months ago.  It is from the 1950s and was super affordable.

In order to complete my map collection I need a lot more.  Including.....

Milwaukee {where I grew up}
Atlanta {where my family lived when I was in high school}
Cincinnati {where I went to college and met my husband}
San Diego {our current home}
Dublin {where my husband went to college}
Killorglin, County Kerry {in Ireland - my husband's hometown}
Boston {where Neil lived when he first came to the United States}
New York City {where Neil lived before moving to Ohio}

Wow, we have lived in a lot of places!

I am searching for traditional and untraditional maps and various city prints.  The searching part is fun.  It is the deciding part that tends to trip me up.

A few I love {and the map of Ireland I already own} ~
