Today Mari from Arcadian Lighting is stopping by to share a few lovely painted floors. The yellow and gray breakfast nook {obvs} and turquoise in the bathroom are my faves.

Hi, all! It's Mari here from Arcadian Lighting, a fabulous online shop to find lighting fixtures of all types and finishes. I'm excited to be visiting {Acute Designs} today with a post about pretty painted floors.
Whether your worn floors need a little cover-up or you're simply ready for a change underfoot, consider paint as an exciting design element. Go classic solid white, glossy black, a soft neutral or be daring a bit more daring and reproduce your favorite pattern on the floor in paint.
Creativity is the word of the day and the possibilities are unlimited. Here are eight painted floors to inspire. Enjoy!

A hand-painted retro lily pattern on the floor and up the steps takes this open living space from beautiful to sublime. I'm smitten. Are you?

A painted zig-zag floor ties this bedroom's orange and rosy color palette together nicely. I also love the French doors, stylish white stools, orange leather Moroccan pouf.

A chic yellow and gray breakfast room boasts a pretty gray and white painted floor. Interesting wire stools and a stylish silver pendant light also immediately draw attention. An upholstered settee takes the place of the expected built-in banquette.

Glossy blue paint hides flaws in this well-worn wood floor in a vintage home. The blues and greens in this room have a charming retro look.

There is a lot of pattern going on in this pretty bedroom, but it all works beautifully. The painted floor is stunning in white on green. The single light fixture showing here, a turquoise glass lamp takes its color cue from the wide border on the white drapery panels which pop against the patterned wallpaper.

Turquoise and white are pretty in this simple bath design. White medallions painted on the turquoise floor are a lovely contrast to the smaller motifs in turquoise on white walls.

Black painted floors work well in many styles, from traditional to contemporary or eclectic vintage as seen here. I especially love high gloss black finishes on wood floors.

What a clever design idea! Chevron painted floors in the galley kitchen and adjacent dining room with a solid gray border all around. A rattan pendant light looks pretty over the dining table.
What is your floor painting style? Do you like simple neutral colors or more daring styles? Let us know in the comments below and don't forget to check out our pretty pendant lights at Arcadian Lighting.
Thanks Mari for sharing this inspiration-filled post!

Nice idea, painting your floors can give them a new look, you can do this if your flooring is pretty much old now, you just have to spend money on the paints.
